North Norfolk District Council Catch Up

Yesterday I had my monthly catch up with North Norfolk District Council, where I raised the issue of flies at Gt Snoring to make sure that the Council's environmental health officials are continuing to focus on the long-term fly situation.

I also raised my concerns over the delay by the council in gripping the unacceptable condition of 9 Norwich Street, Fakenham. This has been an increasingly dangerous eyesore right in the heart of the town for far too many years. The Council have finally taken legal advice as to their enforcement options and I have pressed them to take effective action before Christmas to bring this sorry saga to an end. One way or another the building needs to be restored or, if that is not possible, replaced. The council cannot keep kicking a difficult decision down the road at the expense of Fakenham.
